Construction Technology 2 (QSB 1524)



            Construction Technology 2 is new to me as I never learn before. At first, I was not aware of the importance of construction technology to the environment.

            Understand on the foundational concepts in this subject is quite important. “A wrong concept misleads the understanding; a wrong deed degrades the whole man, and may eventually demolish the structure of the human ego.”(Iqbal, n.d.). Besides that, E.O.Wilson (n.d.) also states that sometimes a concept is baffling not because it is profound but because it is wrong. It shows the importance of it to us.

            I try to ask the lecturer, Mr. Chiew Seng Khoon  in order to deepen my knowledge and to be more understand on the concept applied in Construction Technology. In the future, I hope that more site visit should be done in order to deepen our eyes.

Construction Technology 2 Assignment I

Standing under the sun, sweating heavily , wearing a heavy helmet and the uncomfortable safety boots are the main causes I have a bad impression on the site visit. However, after having a real experience, I eliminate all these negative thoughts out of my mind as I gain more than what I suffer. One thing I cannot deny is that the site visit illustrates on what I learnt during the lecture class. For example, we can only see the installation of bored pipes through the video during the lessons. Through this site visit, it aids me to remember the real process deeply. Besides that, as I was assigned to do the methodology regarding the Contiguous Bored Pile Wall, I have read severals books from the library as well as interviewing the authorities in Lot D Residence in order to have a deepen understanding on the entire process. There are more than what I learnt in class as each process has its own requirements which makes me gain a lot of knowledge.
